Creating a new page

How to create a new page

Step 1: Create a new page

  1. Use the platform menu to navigate to Content > Add Content > Page.

Using the Content menu, select the Page menu item from the Add content submenu to create a new page.

Step 2: Enter page content

  1. Click the Title field and enter the title of the page.

  2. Click within the Body area. You can add content, images and quotes within this section (see Text Editor for details about using the toolbar and text input area). Add your content for the page in this area.

  3. If you would like to add an image within your content, click on the media icon (see Adding an image for instructions for adding an image using the text editor).

  4. Format all of your content and images using the text editor.

Step 3: Configure page settings

  1. Decide if you want to display a section navigation menu on the left of the page’s content. If this page should have a section navigation on the left sidebar you can select Show Section Navigation. If this page is standalone and does not need to have a navigation present on the page, you can uncheck this checkbox.

Three screenshots in a grid, starting with the page edit view showing the navigation sidebar preview, then the section navigation section with the Show Section Navigation checkbox checked, and then the page showing the section navigation on the left and the page content on the right.
Select the Show Section Navigation checkbox (1) to show the Section navigation sidebar preview (2) in the page edit view and display the section navigation menu (3) on the page.
  1. Click Menu settings. In this area you can determine if your page should show in a particular navigation menu. This will allow you to select the Main Navigation for pages that should show in the top main navigation bar, or as a subpage under a particular section of the website where it will appear in the left-side section navigation.

  2. The first time you save the page, we recommend you save as a Draft so that you can preview the page before publishing it to your site (see Publish Status for details about different publication statuses).
