Primary site contact
How to designate a primary site contact
You can add primary site contacts for people who have already been added to your site.
- Navigate to People > Primary Site Contact.
- In the Primary site contact field, start entering the person's username (usually their first and last name) and select them from the autocomplete.
- Click Save configuration.
Notes
- Each site in the HarvardSites platform must designate a Primary Site Contact. This will help with site portfolio management by schools and units. It is your responsibility to update this information anytime the Primary Site Contact changes.
- Site administrators will have to update or confirm the existing primary site contact every 6 months.
- This contact should be the person ultimately accountable for site content. For some groups, this might be the person in charge of communications. For others, it might be the department chair, lab principal investigator, director, etc.
- The primary site contact does not necessarily need to be the day-to-day content manager of the site but they need to have site administrative privileges.
