New Admin Notifications feature

Site administrators can now receive Admin Notifications, a new way for Harvard Web Publishing to share platform updates, new features, and important announcements directly within the Drupal admin interface.

You now have the ability to see announcements from Harvard Web Publishing without leaving your site's admin view.

When HWP releases a new feature, publishes a platform update, or needs to share time-sensitive information (such as scheduled maintenance), a notification will appear in the admin toolbar for all site administrators. This means you no longer need to check the Platform Updates page separately to stay informed.

Notifications will appear with an indicator badge until they've been viewed, and can be dismissed individually once read. Dismissed notifications remain available in a Notification History view, so you can revisit past announcements at any time.

This feature is designed to keep site administrators across Harvard's web portfolio informed about platform changes as they happen, reducing reliance on email and helping ensure important updates aren't missed.
