#  Platform Update: 1.0.30 Release

Release begun 9/17/2026. Significant functionality in this release includes the following:

- **University-wide Privacy Statement in the global footer.** The Information Practices link in the global footer has been replaced with a link to the [Harvard University Privacy Statement](https://privsec.harvard.edu/harvard-university-umbrella-privacy-statement). This change applies to every HarvardSites Drupal site. Site administrators are advised to remove any existing site-specific policies, or reach out directly to PrivSec to draft a supplemental policy if their site requires custom privacy terms.
- **Social and quote icons are displaying again.** Social sharing icons on site footers, News and Event pages, and the quote icon on quote cards had stopped appearing. They now display everywhere they are configured.
- **Email addresses now wrap in button-style cards, person grid view and detail pages.** Long email addresses and bare URLs were being cut off in button-style cards, grid listings for Person List components, and in the Additional Information field on person detail pages. This was especially apparent at narrow screen widths or when text spacing was increased for readability. Email addresses and URLs now break to the next line and stay fully visible, improving accessibility.
