#  A more compact way to display lists 

 





Some list components now include a **Compact** view option. The compact list view uses reduced padding between list items, and allows for a denser, more space-efficient way of displaying content type lists.

You now have the ability to display content in [List Components](/list-component "List Component") in a more compact way.

When adding a List Component (Class, Event, News, Page, Person, Publication, and Resource) to your page you can select **Compact** from the **Display Style** drop-down menu (under the list component **Settings**). This generates a compressed display of items that take less vertical real estate.

By default, these are the fields that are displayed for each content type when selecting the **Compact** display style:

- **News:** Title and Publication Date
- **Events:** Title, Event Start Date & Time
- **Person:** Full Name and first Professional Title
- **Class:** Title only
- **Page:** Title only
- **Resource:** Title only
- **Publications:** Title only
