## Managing site visibility settings

Note that **Site Administrators** can edit site visibility settings.

1. Navigate to **Site Settings** > **Site Visibility**.
2. Choose the site access and visibility level from the following options:
    1. **Public on the web:** Anyone on the internet can view your site. Your site will show in search results. No sign-in required.
    2. **Site members only:** This setting can be useful during site creation. Your site will not be indexed by search engines.
    3. **Anyone with the link:** Anyone who has the URL to your site can view your site. Your site will not be indexed by search engines.
    4. **Harvard Community:** Only the Harvard Community can access your site. Sign-in via HarvardKey required. Note that this setting provides access to users who fall into the [Yellow Tier generic filter](https://www.iam.harvard.edu/harvardkey-generic-authorization-filters-0) as defined by IAM.
    5. **Groups within the Harvard Community:** Only select groups at Harvard can view your site. Sign-in via HarvardKey required.
3. Once you have selected the site access and visibility level, click **Save Configuration** to save your changes.

Note: The **Harvard Community** and **Groups within the Harvard Community** visibility settings do not protect access to PDFs or other [File Attachments](/resource/file-attachments "File Attachments"). Please use [Harvard’s secure SharePoint platform](https://www.huit.harvard.edu/sharepoint) for storing and sharing private documents.
