1. Add an Images component (see [Adding a component](/adding-component "Adding a component") for instructions on how to add a component).
2. Click on the **Section Heading** section to add an optional section that appears at the top of the Image component.
3. Click on the **Color Settings** section to configure color settings.
    1. Select a color scheme from the **Component Color Scheme** menu and review the **Component Color Scheme Preview** to see the effect of changing the color settings.

### Step 2: Add an Image

1. Under **Content**, add an image to the component by selecting the **Add image** button. You can select an image from the media library or upload a new image (see [Media Library](/resource/media-library "Media Library") for details about working with the media library).

### Step 3: Select an Image display mode and cropping options

The single image component allows you to display your image without any cropping (large, medium, or small sizes), or a cropped version of your image in different aspect ratios (Landscape Wide (16:9), Landscape (4:3), Portrait (4:5), Square (1:1).

1. Select your desired display mode from the **Image display mode** drop-down menu.
2. You can optionally add a caption to your image in the **Caption** field.

### Step 4: Save Image component

1. Once you have finished adding your image, choose the **Save** button on the edit screen.
